The Supreme Court has ordered investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to appear in court without his mask and face Kwesi Nyantakyi.
This news in particular has raised eyebrows, and many people are waiting to see what happens next with this news development.
THE NARRATIVE
The Supreme Court issued a ruling on Tuesday morning ordering the investigative journalist to testify in court against the former president of the Ghana Football Association without wearing his signature mask.
The decision by the Supreme Court comes after an Accra High Court decision to allow Anas Aremeyaw Anas to testify in camera was reversed.
The court presided over by Justice Baffoe-Bonnie ruled on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, that the High Court's order granting Anas the exceptional privilege was unjustified or lacked legal foundation.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas was ordered by the court to appear in open court without his mask.
The famous journalist will testify as a prosecution witness in the criminal case Republic v. Kwesi Nyantakyi & Others.
This follows his undercover operation, codenamed "Number 12," which revealed former Ghana Football Association president Nyantakyi accepting bribes.
